MP Hesha Withanage pointed out in Parliament that two helicopters accompany the President during most of his visits, adding that the President had earlier stated he would not permit wasting public funds.
Minister Chamal Rajapaksa said two helicopters accompany the President for security purposes adding only three vehicles are used when traveling by road.
