“The strike action was called off last night (Feb. 22), since the Minister of Transport agreed to hold discussions at 11:30 this morning (23),” Indika Dodangoda, the Secretary of the Locomotive Engine Operators’ Union (LEOU) told News 1st on Tuesday morning (23).

According to Dodangoda, the Minister of Transport had agreed over the phone to hold discussion on the issue at hand and analyze the project in question.
