403 motor accidents were reported in Sri Lanka in one week from 31st January to 06th of February 2021, said Sri Lanka Police.

45 people died in these motor accidents, said Police Spokesperson DIG Ajith Rohana adding 266 people were injured with 94 suffering critical injuries.

However, the actual figures of motor accidents, fatalities, and injuries could be higher than the numbers reported to Sri Lanka Police, he said.
